Post Date: Fri Nov 09 00:00:00 PST 2007 Expiry date: Sat Nov 08 00:00:00 PST 2008 From: [US] Detailed Buying Lead Descriptioncaster specifications for an ultra compact and lightweight luggage or cargo cart.
i need a light duty caster to attach to a tube 1.125" od x 0.049" wall = 1.027" id.
the application is luggage or cargo cart wheels.
weight to be supported is approximately 100 lbs/wheel.
the attachment must be one that uses minimal space inside the tube. the conventional 2" insert is unacceptable.
one possibility is to attach the caster to a short [1/2 to 1" long] piece of 1" od tube, to be fastened to the inside of the 1.125" tube.
this should be a high quality wheel with bearings, preferably roller blade style, about 2.25" high [i can supply the wheel if desired].
light weight is very important. a lightweight aluminum frame is recommended if practical. a steel frame is acceptable for an example of construction.
mass is very important. it must take up the minimal space.
volume: depends on price. a few for samples first. high volume anticipated after startup. what is your minimum quantity.
color: black [silver will be considered especially for startup but black is preferred]
height, width and depth: the minimum necessary to hold the wheel.
can you supply such a caster?
at what cost?
