We are seeking suppliers of food grade (FCC) d-tagatose, a novel sugar. Typically, this sugar is produced by reacting galactose with calcium hydroxide, and then purifying the result. It may also be produced through enzymatic means. Cost-effective, safe (food grade) and lack of any off-tastes are our goals for our tagatose supply. Low levels of remaining galactose may be acceptable. We are looking for both small and large suppliers of tagatose.
