Power Supples Regulated 240vac Source 5 Vdc Regulated Out
Post Date: Sun Mar 16 00:00:00 PDT 2008 Expiry date: Sun Mar 15 00:00:00 PDT 2009 From: [US] Detailed Buying Lead DescriptionThe Power Supply is for a micro-controller 5 VDC and needs to be regulated from a 240 VAC source. It does not require any housing and is limited to about 200 mWatt demand. It does not require any connection except soldered. No leads or plugs required. May be adapted from any design that meets the need. I am prototyping so the demand will be small to start but when production starts will need factory supply quantities. Please supply pricing.
An additional need is for a battery backup for this supply so that power to a clock chip does not fail at any time and sufficient battery for long duration disconnection. (The clock chip has very low power demand) The ability to switch between this battery backup and the AC source should if possible be automatic and instantaneous should the AC source be turned off or fall below a regulated level.
The AC Source may have power spikes on it so the power supply needs to have strong surge rejection. It needs to be a power supply that operates in both US and EU markets able to accept power at 50 Hz and 60 Hz and at 240 VAC in both locations. There is no need of 120 VAC capacity.
