Dear Manufacturers,I am a designer who is forming a new bridal company. I have a few questions to ask you to see if we might be able to work together in this venture.Would you please take a look at the attached gown and tell me:a. What would the charge be for a dress like the one attached- if we sent you the fabric to use it first? So what would the cost be just for the production of this gown, (without you sourcing the fabric).We will be sourcing our own fabrics for this label and sending them to the manufacturer. This line that we are developing has to be made according to what is called "Fair Trade" guidelines, so I will need to know the following to see if we can work together:One- how many hours do the workers at your factory (dressmakers in the production line, designers, you yourself) work per day?Two- how many days a week do the dressmakers in the production line work?Three- what is the minimum age that they start working at your company?Four- what are they being paid per hour?Five- how many total people work in the production lines there, how many dressmakers do you employ?Six- if we were to work together on this label, and I wanted the workers to be paid more than they usually earn per hour, could we work something out to that effect? Would the owner of the company be ok with me paying more to ensure that the workers earn more, and agree that everyone be compensated __ amount more per hour for the production of these dresses, at my expense? Seven- if I were to visit the factory could I meet the owner, and the workers to get a sense of the process of production and everything going on behind the scenes. What typically happens when a company you work with visits the factory? I would like to schedule a visit sometime soon if we end up working together on this line. As I said before it is to be fair trade, it has to be made with fair labor practices and fair wages being paid to everyone involved... which means we will be paying more money for these dresses to have them made by people who are being treated fairly and making a good wage for their families.Thanks so much in advance, look forward to speaking with you soon.Jessica
