We are an engineering firm now completing demonstration projects on EV's and PHEV's (plug-in hybrids.)

Our current project involves engineering a plug-in system for the Ford Escape. We will also do several electric vehicles for demonstration to state and federal agencies. We work with several universities on joint research.

We are looking for a supplier that has a viable and cost effective battery for electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles, and plug-in hybrid vehicles. Interested supplers will need to supply a single battery for evaluation at no charge. Single batteries will not be returned.

Based on the evaluation of submitted sample batteries, we will select up to three preliminary suppliers. Preliminary suppliers will be asked to submit one (1) 10KW battery pack for testing in-vehicle. We will pay the shipping cost.

Quality, performance, reliability and cost are the evaluation criteria, in that sequence.

Final supplier must be able to supply sufficient battery packs for  a minimum of 120 vehicles with 10KW packs in the first year and 300 vehicles in successive years. Maximum requirements may be significantly higher.
