We are seeking a vendor for low cost red laser modules that will be used in pointing devices. Laser module should produce a sharp point on an object at a distance of 5 meters or more. Modules must be very small and very lightweight.

The modules must be Class II low power laser modules, and meet all US government certification requirements.

The modules must be self-contained units that only require a battery for power to operate, no additional circuitry should be required. Laser modules must operate on no more than 3 volts, but 1.5 volts is preferred via a coin cell battery. The modules may be cylinder or coin shaped. Small size , low weight, and low cost are critical.

Supplier must be willing to provide samples.

Experience with reflective and divergent optics would also be helpful.
