The next images show the form in plaster with imagery drawn on in pencil. The imagery is now carved into the sculpture in low relief. I did not include images of this state because it is confusing in pictures as the lines have been largely carved out. The last images show how the carved imagery will look when it is painted in. (These two small forms are tests) I am painting the entire sculpture black to approximate the dark black color of the bronze. The incised imagery will be painted in white and red to show where the white and red enamel will be applied to the metal. The sculpture is Hydrocal white over fiberglass mat laid over a laminated styrofoam form. The foam is uncovered on the bottom. The thickness of the plaster ranges from 1/4&quot; to about 3/4&quot;. The incisions in the plaster are all less than 3/8&quot; deep. The overall dimensions of the sculpture are 36&quot;x48&quot; x 36&quot;high.
